Everyone, meet Hayley! She is the wonderful friend that is taking me to the One Direction concert AND she organized the Myrtle Beach trip, with the help of her mother!
So, I haven't been doing too much this summer. I have been on the hunt for a job so I can start saving some moolah to buy me a car. I get my license in October! Can you believe that?!?! I can't either! I'm sad to be growing up, but I know that as I get older, new life experiences will come at me and I will learn new things.
In August, I will be a junior. I really can not believe that I only have 2 more years of glorious high school. I love high school. I have loved every minute of it! Yes, there has been much drama, but you just gotta move on. High school has taught me so much and I have had so many great experiences! I really just don't want to graduate. Most people want to graduate, but nope, not me. Yeah, I'm weird like that.
Tonight I have relay for life. I am on a team with the school. I'm walking in memory of my Grandpa Book. Last July he passed away from leukemia. He fought a long, hard 14 month battle with it and went into remission a couple times, only to find out a couple weeks later that it had come back. In April of 2012, we found out that there was nothing else the doctors could do and that he would pass away within the next couple of months. We were all heartbroken. This man was a wonderful man. He changed my life in so many ways and he changed how I look at life. He taught me so much. He was one of the nicest and most sincere men that you will ever meet.
Well, I need to hop off of here and finish getting ready for relay. I hope all of you are doing swell and I will make sure to post again sometime soon!
