GOAL!!!
Ok, so I have accomplished some very good goals lately. Wednsday and Yesterday(Monday) I ran 2 miles. Thursday and Friday I ran 3 miles withour stopping.OH YEAH! It even gets better. Today (Tuesday) I ran 3 1/2 miles without stopping. For my 3 miles I ran it in 30 and 31 minutes. In my 2 miles I ran it in 18 minutes. I don't really know what my 3 1/2 miles was because I forgot my watch in my PE bag( we are not allowed to wear watches in PE and I have PE the last period of the day and today I forgot to put it on). DANG IT! I know I did it in about 35 to 40 minutes probably. I am really happy and I am going to run a 5k on Saturday at Starlight, IN. YAY

Sports Oh Sports
Ok, this is why I like the sports I do. Let me update you on this. I do 2 sports, Cross Country and Tennis and I love them both.
Ok, lets start on tennis, because I have been doing it longer. I like tennis, because it is a complicated sport and not everyone can do it. You have to know certain movements to do the hits or you can't get the hits right. I also like it because you can play with one, two, three, or four people, it doesn't matter. Another reason why is if you are mad you take your anger out on the ball and get a point usually. That is why I like tennis.
NOW, lets move on to Cross Country. I like cross country because you can do it anytime, anywhere. It isn't a team sport like basketball, to where you have to have a lot of people to play a game. You also don't have to have a glove or a ball to practice like baseball, all you have to have is feet and somewhere to run(which is anywhere).
That is why I like those sports so much. They are my favorite sports to watch and play.

7th Grade Memories
I have had a lot of 7th grade memories. Some are about books I have had to read and some are about making new friends, but whatever it was it was a new experience. I have made SO many new friends this year and have learned a lot about friends I already have. I have some memories of homework assignments that I thought was hard, but I would rather not talk about those, because as we know it every student hates homework. I am anxious and nervous about going to 8th grade. I am anxious to go to Washington D.C for the first time and get to spend that experience with my friends. I am nervous because I will probably be in Algebra and I am not good with math at all. I know the basics. I am also nervous because of the homework and whose classes I will be in. I have had all great teachers this year, I may of not liked some of them because they gave me too much homework, but now I am gracious that they did, because now I know they are trying to help me get ready for 8th grade. I can't wait!!
8th Grade
One of the memories I will remember about 8th grade is.........
Washington D.C.
I am soo excited. We have to get $590, but we are doing some fundraisers, but the fundraisers won't help me raise all the money. SO, if any of you fellow bloggers have any jobs for me over the summer that I will get paid for, just comment and leave me your email address or email me at kiersten.sis@gmail.com . Thanks!

From Dancing Shoes to Running Shoes...
As I posted earlier I went to the Middle School Spring Dance last night & I had soooo much fun. Well this morning we got up & it was rainy & nasty outside & then it cleared off a little so we decided to go over to Buffalo Trace for the annual Buffalo Trace Run. Zach & I both ran in the race. We were very lucky because the rain held off until after the awards.
I didn't get a picture of him, but the guy that did the announcing for the race & for the awards was Tim Martin, he & Jerry Love coach our High School Cross-Country team & do a great job, but Tim also won the KY Derby Marathon last Saturday!
Now, what could be next...ummmm....I know now it's time to put on the shopping shoes. Going shopping with my Mimi & PawPaw for my 13th Birthday. What shall I get? Clothes, shoes, maybe even some new running shoes - which I'm in desperate need of.
Here we are lined up & getting ready to start the race, there weren't very many of us
Here we are after the start, we went all the way around the lake
Here is Zach coming off the path...mom wasn't at the finish because she likes to cheer us on to the finish so we don't give up.
Here I am with Taylor Rennirt - we ran together most of the race
Yep, that's right I won a trophy! I came in 3rd for the girls & 6th overall. I was happy considering the only running I've been doing is in PE for just a mile on a flat track. We ran 1 1/4 mile today.
And Zach got a trophy too! He came in 2nd for the boys & 3rd overall. Good Job Zach!! I am proud of him, but I still say he only beat me because I was still tired from being out & dancing last night hahaha!
Here we are together. I was glad that I got to run a race with Zach. I hope that we run many more together!
