My Essay

IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE LAST POST, PLEASE DON'T READ THIS POST!!!

Here is my story (ugh, I mean essay) that I promised you all.

1A.The good in the society as a whole during WWII is that Anne didn’t have to wear overshoes. Another example would be that they didn’t have to go to school or do homework. An example of evil would be that they had to be stuck in hiding for 2 years together in one tight, little spot. Also, they had to be quiet during the day because if they weren’t quiet the people in the office building below may be able to hear them. Also, the kids didn’t have anything to do except for play with each other, read, and do homework.
The evil thing about the eight people in hiding is that they didn’t have very much food and they had to share a toilet. Anne had to share a room with Mr. Dussel, Margot had to share the living room with her parents, while Peter got his own room and the Van Daans got their own room. The good thing about having to go into hiding with eight people is that you always have someone to play with or talk to. Also, if you needed help on your homework you could just ask someone else, like Anne did with Margot often.
The good about the character of Anne is that she is funny. An example of Anne being funny is when she imitated Mr. Van Daan. Also, when Anne took Mr.Van Daan’s pipe was funny.   The bad thing about Anne is that she can’t be serious. Also, is that everyone is comparing her to Margot. Like when Mrs. Frank is saying, “It is unnecessary to fight. Margot doesn’t fight”. Then, Anne blows off and says,” Margot! Margot! Margot! That’s all I hear from everyone. How wonderful Margot is”.
1B. When Anne says, “I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are really good at heart”, it makes me think why she said that. I would not have been able to say that of it were me. Some people are not good at heart in my mind. A person that is not good in the heart to me is a person who kills another person. Another example of a person who is not a good person to me is a person who wants to ruin someone else’s life, just to make their life better. A last example would be a person that wants to abuse their own kid.

2A. Mr. Frank has courage because he went into hiding. He got out and took his family out on the roads that people were being killed on to go into hiding. Mr. Frank has hope by going into hiding. He went into hiding so the Nazis wouldn’t find him, his family, and his friends hoping that someday the war would be over. Mr. Frank also has courage by asking Miep and Mr. Kraler to go buy him things. He had hope by trusting Miep and Mr. Kraler that they wouldn’t tell anyone that they were hiding in the annex.
Miep and Mr. Kraler had courage by buying the Franks what they needed. They also had courage by helping the Franks. If the Franks got caught they could have told the Nazis who was helping them and Miep and Mr. Kraler could have been taken away to a concentration camp. Miep and Mr. Kraler had hope by helping the Franks. They knew the war would end and they wanted the Franks to come out alive, that is why they helped them.
Anne Frank had courage because she wrote in her diary. If the Nazis would have found her diary they would of known who helped the Franks out and the people who helped them out could of got taken away. Anne has hope because she wrote in her diary, “I feel utterly confused. I am longing…so longing…for everything…for friends…for someone to talk to…someone who understands….someone young, who feels as I do”. She has hope that they will get out and they will be safe.

2B.These words say that Mr. Frank is a happy man and likes to celebrate. Also, it says that Mr. Frank doesn’t like people to doubt. He wants people to have courage and think the best of the situation and not always the worst. These words say that Mr. Frank is relieved that no one got hurt and that no one came up to get them. Courage and hope are the most important motivational words in America today.  An example of how courage and hope are important in today’s world is if you are getting a job. You need courage to go in a do the interview and to go get a job, but you hope that you get the job. Another example would be a tornado. You need to have courage to stay calm and go into shelter, but you need hope so that you won’t get hurt.
