well, i do love my job! i love my job for many reasons! to put it simply, in the first grade, i teach kids to read. they come to me reading only a few words and most leave reading chapter books. it is very rewarding!! i mean, come on, what job can say that they teach someone such an important skill that truly changes their life! i love to teach reading. there is never a dull moment in my job. you never know what you are going to get.....i laugh a lot! i do not complain about what i get paid. not that i don't work hard and, sure, everyone wants to get paid more but i don't complain about my salary.
now for the negatives and every job has them!! there is a ton of paperwork and sometimes it bogs you down and make you very discouraged! sometimes i feel like if they would just leave me alone and let me teach then our test scores would go up on there own because i wouldn't be worried about getting stupid stuff finished....i could just teach. there is a lot of meetings, paperwork, and stupid stuff that you have to deal with that is no fun. there are these things in every job though.

I agree w/ Alicia - it definately takes a special someone to be a teacher! But I think you can do anything you set your mind too! So good luck in WHATEVER you eventually decide to become! :)
